Spring 2024 Baseball Eligibility, League Ages, Divisions & Fees
To be eligible to participate in Rowayton Little League baseball, you must have one of the following qualifications: 1) Be a resident of the Sixth Taxing District and live within the zip codes of 06853 or 06854-3829; or 2) the player must be enrolled in a school that resides in 06853 or 06854-3829. This includes Rowayton Elementary School, Roton Middle School, The Community Cooperative Nursery School (CCNS), United Church Nursery School (UCNS), or Five Mile River Nursery School. Please choose your eligibility qualification from the Little League division list below.
For Tee Ball through AA, a player's school grade determines his or her baseball division. Starting at AAA, subject to roster availability and based on a player's age and talent level, (s)he may be chosen to play up in a higher level than his or her school grade would otherwise dictate.

** All 3rd grade AAA baseball players are required to attend the AAA Evaluations in March. Please check the official event schedule for specific dates, times and locations.
*** All 4th grade AAA baseball players are required to attend the AAA Evaluations in March. 4th graders who are 10 years old by August 31, 2024 may also try out for Majors. If a AAA eligible player tries out for Majors but does not get selected, (s)he will be placed on a AAA team. All 11 and 12 year olds are expected to attend evaluations and will automatically be placed on a Majors team.
Practices: There are no formal practices during the week for Tee-ball and A-ball players. Parent coaches are encouraged to organize impromptu practices at Rowayton Elementary School but must check the master calendar to ensure field availability. Practices for divisions AA and up are scheduled by the individual team coaches. During the season and depending on the game schedule, your player can expect 1-2 practices during the week and perhaps one practice on the weekend. Times are all dependent on coach and field availability.
Games: Tee-ball and A-ball play games at Rowayton Elementary on Saturdays from 10:30am to 11:30am. Games will last 1 hour with the first 30-40 minutes dedicated to focused instruction (throwing, catching and hitting); and the remaining 20-30 minutes dedicated to intra-league play. Games for divisions AA and up are scheduled by Norwalk. Unfortunately these schedules will not be available until early April. Please expect 1-2 games per week over the 10-week season.
Scholarships: Need based scholarships are available upon request. Please contact contact us with any questions.
RLL / NLL Partnership: It's helpful to know that Rowayton Little League partners with Norwalk Little League at the AAA and Majors levels. Rowayton and Norwalk Little League players are drafted to inter-league teams sometimes resulting in Norwalk players on Rowayton team rosters and Rowayton players on Norwalk team rosters.
